My Journey to Losing 50 kg (7st 12lbs) and Taking Back Control of My Life

My Journey to Losing 50 kg (7st 12lbs) and Taking Back Control of My Life

Life With a Long Struggle With Weight

I am 42 years old and live in a small town in Denmark with my husband and our three boys.

For my entire adult life, I have struggled with my weight. Over the years, I tried many different diets. Even though I managed to lose weight several times, the kilos always came back — often with a little extra on top. It felt like an endless battle.

When Life Suddenly Changed

In 2011, my life was turned upside down when I was seriously injured in a car accident and later developed a chronic illness. My body changed, and it became even harder to manage my weight. As the years passed, the number on the scale kept going up.

When I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2024, I knew something had to change. That diagnosis became the starting point for a new chapter in my life.

Preparing for Gastric Bypass Surgery

I was approved for gastric bypass surgery, which I had in June 2025.

Before the operation, I had to lose 8% of my body weight. My starting weight was 140 kg. With changes to my diet, lots of long walks, and help from products like Nupo, I managed to reach the goal in less than three months.

It was the first step toward taking control of my health again.

Finding Support After Surgery

After the surgery, my appetite has been very unpredictable, and I can only eat small portions at a time. Because of that, Nupo has become an important support in my daily routine.

The café latte shake and the omelette have especially become favorites. They make it easier for me to get something to eat, while also ensuring that I get the protein my body needs.

A Life-Changing Journey

Today, I work out three to four times a week, and so far I have lost 50 kg.

It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it has been a life-changing one. For the first time in many years, I feel like I have regained control over both my life and my body.
